Tulane Professor to Talk About Katrina Effects on School Choice

Doug Harris, associate professor of economics and university endowed chair in public education at Tulane University, will give a lecture Oct. 3 on the University of Arkansas campus titled “What Do Parents Want? School Choices of New Orleans Parents Before and After Hurricane Katrina.”
The lecture is sponsored by the Department of Education Reform at the University of Arkansas. It will take place at noon Friday, Oct. 3 in Room 343 of the Graduate Education Building. It is free and open to the public.
A light lunch will be served. RSVP must be made online by 1 p.m. Wednesday for lunch.
Harris published a commentary on post-Katrina New Orleans school reforms that can be read online.
