Top 10 Homecoming Court Candidates Announced
The top 10 Homecoming Court candidates have been selected by the campuswide Homecoming Court Selection Committee. Homecoming Court represents school spirit and pride for the University of Arkansas and is one of the oldest and most storied traditions. Homecoming Court is open to all University of Arkansas women who were nominated by a registered student organization, and is sponsored by Associated Student Government.
The top 10 will interview again on Oct. 16-17. The Homecoming Court will be announced at the third annual Chancellor’s Ball on Friday, Oct. 10, at the Fayetteville Town Center. The five selected members of the 2014 Homecoming Court will then vie for Homecoming Queen. Elections for Homecoming Queen will be held between Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m. and Friday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m. via vote.uark.edu. Homecoming Queen will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, Oct. 24.
Homecoming Court members will participate in the Homecoming Parade, Homecoming pre-game and other events during Homecoming week (Sunday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Oct. 25). The full court will be presented during the football game halftime show.
The Top 10 Homecoming Court Candidates, along with their majors and sponsoring organizations, are:
- Brooke Atwell, senior, international business (marketing)/minor in Spanish, Beta Gamma Sigma
- Lindsey Bach, senior, journalism/political science, Delta Delta Delta & Interfraternity Council
- Kali Lantefield, senior, marketing and economics/minor in international business, Pi Beta Phi
- Lauren McFalls, senior, business marketing/minor in finance, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
- Monica Miller, senior, marketing/minor in finance, Sigma Phi Epsilon
- Amy Moorehead, senior, hospitality restaurant management and Spanish, Student Alumni Board
- Cicely Shannon, senior, international economics and business, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society
- Hallie Waddell, senior, childhood education, Chi Omega
