National Student Day

Stop by the University of Arkansas Bookstore, located at 616 N. Garland Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Thursday, Oct. 9, to celebrate National Student Day. The Bookstore will have free food available to celebrate the fourth annual National Student Day event. Representatives from the Volunteer Action Center will be on site throughout the day accepting registrations for Make A Difference Day.

The purpose of National Student Day is to celebrate and promote social responsibility by college students! Students can win cool prizes from NACS by sharing a selfie showing their social responsibility. Students can submit photos of themselves giving back to their community by uploading them to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #NSDvolunteer. Three randomly selected students will receive $1,000 and $1,000 will also be donated to the 501(c)(3) charity of their choice.
