The University of Arkansas strongly opposes discrimination, sexual harassment and sexual violence. As such, the university wants to remind students, faculty and staff of some key policies.

Federal and state law, as well as university policy prohibits sexual harassment of its students, faculty and staff, and it is the policy of the university to make every effort to eliminate sexual harassment at the university.

If you are a witness to possible sexual harassment or discrimination, or believe that you have been sexually harassed or discriminated against, please immediately contact the compliance officer within the Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance, 4 West Avenue Annex Building. The compliance officer may be reached at 479-575-4019, or via email at titlevii@uark.edu. Should such incidents take place, we want to address the situation and prevent further occurrences.

The university policy regarding sexual harassment can be found at the following sites:

The university has designated the university compliance officer as its Title IX coordinator with overall responsibility for oversight of the university’s compliance with its obligations under Title IX, including, but not limited to, its obligations to investigate and respond to allegations of sexual assault. The Title IX coordinator can be reached at titlevii@uark.edu or 479-575-4019.
