Last Day of Uncivilized Monsters in the Anne Kittrell Art Gallery

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The final day of the Uncivilized Monsters art exhibit is Friday, Oct. 24, in the Anne Kittrell Art Gallery on the fourth floor of the Arkansas Student Union.

This event is sponsored by University Programs through the Office of Student Activities and is supported by the Student Activities fee. For special accommodations due to disability, please contact the Office of Student Activities, osa@uark.edu or call 479-575-5255.

Local artist, Elijah John Mathis, said, “These creatures exist all around you, you just have to let your mind see them.”

Mathis has been active in Fayetteville’s art community since July of 2011. He is a member of the local gallery and non-profit organization, The Fayetteville Underground. Mathis has worked with fellow local artist, Matt Miller, as a graphic designer for skateboard and clothing shop, The Path. Mathis is currently a graphic design student at The New Design School in Fayetteville.
