Calling all students! The Class Gift Council and the Student Alumni Association are excited to announce that the fourth annual Thank a Donor Day is being held during Homecoming this year. As we gear up for the big day, you’re invited to participate in a weeklong Philanthropy Photo Phrenzy for a chance to win fun prizes. It starts today and is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Follow us on Instagram (@UA_AnnualFund), Twitter (@UofA_AnnualFund) or Facebook (University of Arkansas Annual Fund) to see a series of daily photos.
  2. Repost each day’s featured photo using #uarkthanks between now and Thank a Donor Day on Oct. 22.
  3. You’ll automatically be entered into a daily drawing for awesome prizes like Razorback apparel, gift cards to local boutiques and eateries, and much more.

Thank a Donor Day is a celebration of the thousands of alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents — and even students — who support the University of Arkansas through charitable donations each year. Gifts of all sizes enhance your education and experience in so many ways, from scholarships and study abroad to new buildings and technology.

This year’s event is set for between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in front of the Arkansas Union and is a new addition to the traditional Homecoming festivities. As you’re Calling All Hogs Home, we hope you’ll drop by for some fun freebies and show your gratitude to YOU of A donors by signing a gigantic card or banner, writing a personal note, recording a video message or visiting the selfie station.

Want an update on the Homecoming competition standings? Be sure to arrive by 12:45 for the announcement and a special appearance by the band and spirit squads. The Student Alumni Association will also be giving out 500 pairs of Keds, gift cards and official Homecoming T-shirts to members.

Thanks in advance for participating in Thank a Donor Day and the Philanthropy Photo Phrenzy, and a big thank you to the University of Arkansas Bookstore, Belle Boutique, Orange Leaf and Qdoba for so generously donating our awesome prizes.
