Celebrate National Health Education Week with "Wellness: the Future of Health Education"
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-- Join the department of Wellness and Health Promotion for “Wellness: the Future of Health Education” from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 between on the Union Mall.
In celebration of National Health Education Week, Wellness and Health Promotion is highlighting the future of health education and holistic wellness during this event.
This showcase of services will allow students, faculty and staff to interact with experts in their respective fields, join in wellness activities, ask questions and find out more information about traditional and alternative ways of being healthy.
Along with Wellness and Health Promotion, several other departments and registered student organizations will be present, including University Recreation, Strengths-Based Initiatives, SHAC, RESPECT, Roots and Shoots and SEAR, as well as a few Fayetteville community projects.
Wellness and Health Promotion offers several services for students, including wellness coaching, academic courses, outreach presentations and events, training retreats, peer education and individual and group couching to encourage movement. All professional staff in the department are nationally certified wellness and health coaches, as well as certified health education specialists.
