Men, 50 to 65 Years Old, Needed for Research Project; $150 Compensation Offered

The University of Arkansas is now enrolling participants for a new study with the goal of establishing questionnaires to predict normal daily nutrient intake.

The researchers seek healthy men between 50 and 65 years old who are interested in learning more about their daily nutrient intake and who are not currently taking medication.

The study will take place over four weeks and require that participants visit the Human Performance Laboratory in Room 323 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building on 12 occasions for a total of about 7 hours.

Participants will receive a personal nutritional analysis, a body composition determination by a DEXA scan, knowledge of personal hydration status and $150 compensation.

This study is conducted under the direction of Stavros Kavouras, associate professor of exercise science in the College of Education and Health Professions.

The protocol has been approved by the University of Arkansas Institutional Review Board for human subjects in research.
