Percentage Placement of PDI Program Graduates

Calling all students: The Career Development Center is looking to rename its Professional Development Institute Program and needs your help!

PDI is a nationally recognized program developed by the University of Arkansas Career Development Center. Students who join are assigned a PDI coach who works with them to complete seven career modules in the areas of Self-Awareness, Career Exploration, Gaining Relevant Experience, Job/Graduate School Search Strategies, Resume & Cover Letter Writing, Interview Skills, and Professional Networking by the time they graduate.

This program is available to all University of Arkansas students at no cost. The program is committed to enhancing students' professionalism and equipping them with the tools it takes to be competitive in today's job market. Students who complete the program receive a certificate and letter of recognition from their college Dean, recognition at career events, a recommendation on LinkedIn from their PDI coach, and a special gift. Learn more about PDI here: career.uark.edu/new/students/PDI.

The CDC is seeking a new name for PDI that’s appealing for all students. Staff members have found that the name “Professional Development Institute” may appear intimidating or unapproachable, so they are accepting ideas for a name that’s catchy and more enticing for students who want to be career ready by the time they graduate. The student who comes up with the winning name will receive a $100 gift card to the UA Bookstore and be featured on the Career Development Center Homepage! Entries accepted until Dec. 1, 2014. Submit your ideas by completing this short entry form: studentvoice.com/uoa/pdicontest.
