University of Arkansas Team Places Third in National Poultry Judging Contest

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas poultry judging team took third place overall at the 49th Annual National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest held Nov. 2-4 on the UA campus.
In addition to winning third place, the team took home fourth place for egg production and quality and fifth place in breed selection and carcass quality. Seven teams competed. Texas A&M University took first place overall.
Members of the University of Arkansas team were Audrey Foster, Lainyn Kerley, Alex Durham and Morgan Stephens and coach Dennis Mason. Durham placed seventh overall individual.
Other teams in the contest were from Louisiana State University, Mississippi State University, North Carolina State University, Pennsylvania State University and Ohio State University.
