FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Press has published Thomas Hauser on Boxing ($24.95 paper), by Thomas Hauser. The book is the latest of Hauser’s annual collections published by the press.

Hauser was recently called “one of the best sports journalists working today” by Booklist magazine. Readers and critics alike are drawn to Hauser’s ability to pull the deepest and most riveting stories from the boxers and industry. Thomas Hauser on Boxing includes stories of Hauser entering the dressing room with elite champions in the moments before some of 2013’s biggest fights. His investigative journalism is on display in an award-winning exposé of the tragedy that befell heavyweight boxer Magomed Abdusalamov. There’s a look at the incomparable Don King in the twilight of his career, and more.

Hauser is the author of many books. His first work, Missing, was made into an Academy Award-winning film. He later authored Muhammad Ali: His Life and Times, the definitive biography on the most famous fighter ever. In 2004, the Boxing Writers Association of America honored Hauser with the Nat Fleischer Award for Career Excellence in Boxing Journalism.
