RSO Office of Financial Affairs Seeking Proxy Board Members

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Associated Student Government is seeking two proxiy members to serve on the Registered Student Organization Office of Financial Affairs Board for the 2014-2015 school year. The RSO Office of Financial Affairs reviews and deliberates on budgets submitted by Registered Student Organizations through the ASG funding process.

“The Board is in charge of allocating over $200,000 a year to Registered Student Organizations across campus” said Mike Wyse, ASG Treasurer. “This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting financial experience.” In addition, the board audits RSO events to ensure they are in line with the budgets the organizations submitted.

The applications are available now at the Office of Student Activities and must be submitted by noon Friday, Dec. 5 . Applicants must be able to serve one office hour per week and be available to meet Thursdays at 5 pm. Applicants must also have a GPA of 2.25 and be enrolled in at least 12 hours.

The Associated Student Government at the University of Arkansas is a student-led organization that acts as an organized voice for all students and strives to effectively represent student interests.
