The University of Arkansas Department of Art and the Ceramics Area are pleased to announce their annual Holiday Sale and Open Studio Exhibition. This one-day event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Ceramics Studio located at 326 Eastern Ave. on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville.

The event will include an exhibition highlighting the semester’s most exceptional work, from beginning-level student assignments to the independent works of advanced undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, a sale of handmade pottery by the students and faculty will also be held. Hot soup and beverages will be available with the purchase of bowls and cups.

We are also pleased to be raffling a unique work by faculty member Linda Lopez, whose works have been featured in many exhibitions and publications — and who is currently part of the Crystal Bridges exhibition, State of the Art. Tickets for the raffle will be sold during the event and the winner will be notified at 5 p.m.

This is a unique opportunity for the public to view diverse works during various stages of the artistic process as well as the ceramics’ studio facilities and activities. Proceeds of this sale will assist ceramics students in travel to the National Council on the Education for the Ceramic Arts conference, in Providence, Rhode Island in 2015. Please join us. All events are free and open to the public.
