Social Skills Training Offered for Children With Autism
The University of Arkansas autism clinic is offering a social skills training group for children ages 10 to 13 who have been diagnosed with autism. The group is limited to five students.
Eligible students must have been diagnosed with high functioning autism or Asperger’s syndrome. The free group will last for 10 weeks, meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday nights, beginning in February.
For more information, contact Hollie Lawless at projconn@uark.edu. The group will meet at 410 Arkansas Ave. on the U of A campus. The autism clinic is part of the special education program in the College of Education and Health Professions.
