Third annual Build-A-Bear Event

The University of Arkansas Bookstore, located at 616 N. Garland Ave., in the Garland Center, was selected as a featured college bookstore in The College Store Magazine's January/February publication.

Each year The College Store Magazine works to select bookstores around the nation that are giving back to their campus and community. The U of A Bookstore is known for its annual Build-A-Bear event that raises money for the Full Circle Campus Food Pantry, and produces teddy bears for the Fayetteville Police Department. On top of the Build-A-Bear event, the U of A Bookstore was also featured for their campus giving initiatives.

Ali Sadeghi, director of the U of A Bookstore, said, "It is vital we are a part of the community we serve, that is why we work hard to identify campus departments and groups that we can support with donations for their events each year. In addition to this, we want University of Arkansas faculty, staff, and students to know that we are here to make their lives easier, simpler, and most of all, above and beyond what you expect from a university bookstore."
