Human Neuroscience Speaker Series to Present CUNY Psychologist

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Tracy Dennis, who directs the Emotion Regulation Lab at Hunter College, City University of New York, will discuss her research at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, in a lecture sponsored by the Department of Psychological Science in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
Dennis’ talk, “Attention Bias Modification for Stress and Anxiety: From Biosignatures to Mobile Mental Health” will be in Memorial Hall, Room 113. The lecture, part of the department's Human Neuroscience Speaker Series, is free and open to the public.
Dennis, a professor of psychology, uses electroencephalography and event-related potentials to examine the neural processes underlying emotion regulation across the lifespan. Her talk will provide a fantastic educational and networking opportunity for students at all developmental levels, exposing them to the ever-expanding toolbox of neurophysiological markers that may be used to index neural dysfunction associated with psychological disorder.
