In collaboration with the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association, University Recreation is celebrating National Recreational Sports and Fitness Day from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, by hosting Rec Day in HPER, gym 1.

Rec Day activities include crate stacking, Omnikin Ball, Dance Dance Revolution, Zumba Fest, and a pancake eating contest.

“The entire UREC staff has been collaborating and planning this event for months,” said Jade Dworkin, fitness and wellness graduate assistant for university recreation.

“We are anticipating Rec Day to be a fun event and a great opportunity for students and UREC members to try out some non-traditional recreational activities.”

Students and UREC members are welcome to participate in any of these events. The event is free and does not require registration.
