FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Program in Creative Writing and Translation and the Fayetteville Public Library present an evening with award-winning author and filmmaker David Bezmozgis. A free public reading will take place at the library at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
Bezmozgis was named one of The New Yorker's 20 most promising writers under the age of 40. He is the author of three books, including the award-winning novel The Free World. His latest novel, The Betrayers, was a finalist for Canada's most prestigious literary award, the Scotiabank Giller Prize. In addition, Bezmozgis is an award-winning filmmaker. His latest feature film – an adaptation of his story "Natasha" – will be released this year.
This event is made possible by the J. William Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences, the Department of English, the Walton Family Foundation, and the Fayetteville Public Library.
