Acclaimed Landscape Photographer Terry Evans to give Visiting Artist Lecture

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. --The University of Arkansas Department of Art is pleased to present a visting artist lecture by acclaimed photographer Terry Evans at 5:30 p.m.Thursday, Feb. 26 in Hillside Auditoruim.
This event is free and open to the public.
Evans is recognized as one of the finest landscape photographers in the nation. While best known for photographing the landscape of Chicago, Evans has also captured glaciers in Greenland, farmlands of the Midwest, and industrial sites such as oil fields and steel mills. Combining both aerial and ground photography, Evans delves into the intricate and often complex relationships between land and humans.
Evans has exhibited at many museums and galleries throughout the United States including the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Smithsonian Museum of American Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Modern Art, and many others. Her work is in the collections of institutions such as the Kemper Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She is represented by Catherine Edelman Gallery, Chicago and Yancey Richardson Gallery, NYC.
