University of Arkansas Newswire to Change on Monday
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas news service has undergone a complete makeover, and will relaunch on a new website on Monday, March 2. The new site is active now for previews at news.uark.edu and will officially replace the current site shortly after midnight, March 2.
The digital design and development team and editor team of University Relations began working on the new site – University of Arkansas News – about a year ago, with the most intensive work being done in the past six to eight months.
In addition to the new name and address, the new website has a cleaner, more modern look and structure, with a design that allows for more pictures. It also provides more options for sharing stories via social media and offering opinions through the comment section.
The early morning email that delivers the news headlines each weekday is keeping the name, University of Arkansas Newswire, but will feature a number of changes, including a complete redesign. Arkansans, parents, alumni and anyone around the world who is a fan of the University of Arkansas will be able to subscribe to the email.
There will also be changes for people who regularly submit stories or events to University of Arkansas News. Links to the submission page are now at the bottom of the web page, along with the archive link. Users can bookmark the pages they use for convenience.
University of Arkansas News can also make an excellent homepage for anyone on campus.
