FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Krista Ninivaggi will present a lecture titled "20/20/Future/Focus" at 5 p.m. Monday, March 16, in Ken and Linda Sue Shollmier Hall, Room 250 of Vol Walker Hall, on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, as part of the Fay Jones School of Architecture lecture series.

In her newest venture, K&CO, Ninivaggi strives to encapsulate all of her design experiences to date so that her vision and work process can fully serve her clients. K&CO launched in 2014 as a boutique firm focusing on hospitality and multifamily residential interiors.

In 2011, Ninivaggi joined SHoP Architects as the Director of the Interior Design Group. During her tenure there, she completed interiors for projects such as the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and the New York corporate office of Shopbop, which was selected as an honoree at Interior Design magazine's 2012 Best of Year Awards.

Ninivaggi received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. She started her professional career at the Rockwell Group and later joined the firm AvroKO. Ninivaggi is a part-time faculty member at Parsons New School for Design.

In 2013, Ninivaggi was honored with the title of "Young Gun" by Curbed.com. Most recently, Ninivaggi was named "Designer of the Year" for 2014 by Contract design magazine.

In the first 12 years of her career, Ninivaggi has had the opportunity to design and provide leadership at three influential firms: The Rockwell Group, AvroKo and SHoP Architects. Each experience has profoundly influenced her opinions and methodologies of design. Distilling the lessons learned at each firm created a road map in the founding of her own practice.

The public is invited to attend this lecture.

Admission is free, with limited seating. For more information, contact 479-575-4704 or architecture.uark.edu.
