University Programs Concerts Committee is bringing Arkansas native Blane Howard for a concert at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, in the Union Mall. Howard is a country and cover artist who found his love for music at only 3 years old, when he began to play his plastic guitar and sing along to Alan Jackson's songs. After more than 20 years Howard still has his passion for music! In 2010, Howard graduated in from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a degree in Commercial Music: Vocal Performance. During his time at Belmont, Howard was selected to perform in the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business' 2010 Country Showcase. Since then he has opened for multiple well-known country artists including Joe Nichols, Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, Travis Tritt, Mark Chestnut, and Blake Shelton.

This event is sponsored by University Programs Concerts Committee. For more information on this event, contact University Programs Concerts Chair, Niyah Phillips at upconcrt@uark.edu or 479-575-5255 or Chas Thompson at ct003@uark.edu.
