UPDATE: Seating is sold out for the distinguished lecture at the university by journalist Bob Woodward. He will also speak at 7 p.m. Friday night at the Fayetteville Public Library as part of the FPL Author Series.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas students, faculty and staff – as well as the general public – can now reserve free tickets online to hear renowned investigative journalist Bob Woodward. Reserved tickets are limited to one per person.

Woodward will speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9 at Hillside Auditorium. The event is free but seating is limited, so tickets are required. Overflow seating will be available in the second auditorium, where the lecture will be shown on a video feed.

Reserve tickets can be picked up in the Office of Student Activities in the Arkansas Union from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 through Thursday, April 8. Reserved tickets can also be picked up before the lecture at the Distinguished Lectures Committee table in Hillside Auditorium on Thursday, April 9, beginning at 6:30 pm.

The line for the lecture will begin forming at 6:30 p.m., and doors will open at 7 p.m. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis.

In a distinguished journalism career since the Watergate era, Woodward has written 17 books based on his reporting. He was lead reporter for the Post’s coverage in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks, which earned the National Affairs Pulitzer Prize in 2002. He is currently an associate editor for the Post.

Woodward will deliver the annual Roy Reed Lecture as part of the 60th anniversary celebration of Journalism Days in the Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism. The lecture is a part of the student sponsored Distinguished Lecture Series.
