New Jewish Languages Course to Be Offered This Summer

This summer for the first time the University of Arkansas will offer a new course, JWST 3103 Introduction to Jewish Languages. The course will meet M-F, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the first five-week summer sesson, May 26 to June 26.

Students will learn to read the Hebrew alphabet and gain a basic knowledge of languages written in that alphabet: Hebrew (ancient and modern), Aramaic, and Yiddish. The course will be taught by Jacob Adler, associate professor of philosophy. It is cross-listed as WLLC 398V-011 and WLLC 575V-011.
