Lynne Hehr, director of the University of Arkansas STEM Center for Mathematics and Science Education, has been selected to serve on the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair Advisory Council for a three-year term.

Hehr's term begins next month. The Society for Science and the Public, a nonprofit organization that promotes science, sponsors the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

Hehr directs the Northwest Arkansas Regional Science and Engineering Fair for fifth- through 12th-grade students.

The U of A STEM Center for Mathematics and Science Education provides a formal and non-formal education link between the Arkansas K-16 science, mathematics and technology education and research community at the University of Arkansas. It is based in the College of Education and Health Professions.
