Dean's Advisory Council Honors Development Officer

Jamie Banks will be honored Thursday with an award created by the Dean's Advisory Council of the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas. Banks serves as senior director of development and external relations.

This is the second year the college will honor the recipient of the Dean's Service Award at a reception at Carnall Hall during which the college's three alumni award winners will be also be recognized.

Prior to joining the college's development team in 2003, Banks worked as a fundraiser for the U.S. Senate campaigns of Mark Pryor and Blanche Lincoln. She also worked for the Lincoln Senate office, the John Edwards for U.S. Congress campaign and the U.S. Senate Armed Services committee.

Banks serves on the boards of the Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club, the Washington Regional Foundation and the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation and is a member of the Women's Giving Circle. She is also a member of the national, state and local chapters of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
