Global Campus Offers Excel, Access Workshops This Week

Online registration is now open for two one-day, hands-on courses in Microsoft programs Excel and Access, offered through the University of Arkansas Global Campus.

A Microsoft master certified instructor will teach Microsoft Excel 2013 Part 1 - Basics on Tuesday, June 9 at the Global Campus facility in Rogers, located at 3300 Market Street, Suite 402. Topics covered will include performing calculations, modifying and formatting a worksheet, and printing and managing workbooks. Subsequent courses will be offered at the intermediate and advanced levels and are open to all who take the Basics course or have equivalent knowledge.

On Friday, June 12, a Microsoft Access 2013 Part 2 - Intermediate course will be held at the Global Campus facility at 2 E. Center Street on the downtown Fayetteville square. Participants will learn to design a relational database, join tables, organize a database for efficiency, share data across applications, and perform advanced reporting functions.

The cost for each course is $159, but U of A faculty, staff and students pay $99. Seating is limited to 12 attendees, ensuring a low instructor-to-participant ratio. Contact Danley at danley@uark.edu or 855-402-3300 for information about these classes or customized, on-site computer training.

The Global Campus collaborates with academic colleges and schools, businesses and organizations to provide professional development, computer training and workforce development training. The Global Campus also supports the development and delivery of online academic credit courses and degree programs provided by the university's colleges and schools.

Visit the Rogers website for information about professional development classes or the University of Arkansas ONLINE website for online and distance learning offerings.
