For a limited time, University Recreation is offering two separate promotions to the U of A community. One promotion is a free one-month trial period to UREC facilities, and the other is a $20 discount on the purchase of an annual individual membership for all UA faculty and staff.

Specifics of these membership promotions include:

  • Free membership for non-UREC members from July 1 through July 31 with no commitment required.
  • Any faculty or staff member who renews or purchases an annual membership will receive an additional $20 off the already-discounted membership price, bringing the total to $183. This promotion will be available for purchase from July 1 through Aug. 14.

With a UREC membership, an individual gains access to the HPER building, as well as the UREC Fitness Center located in the Arkansas Union. Benefits of having a membership include access to UREC Outdoors, group fitness classes, intramural sports, climbing and bouldering walls, pool, indoor track, locker and shower facilities and eligibility to purchase UREC services reserved for UREC members.

This promotion is only available if redeemed or purchased at the UREC main office, HPER 225. Membership may be purchased by cash, check, credit card or payroll deduction. Payroll deduction is limited to one or two deduction periods to be eligible for this discount. Refunds are unavailable for this promotion. Any additional purchases such as family memberships, locker, towel, etc. are not subject to discount.

Affiliate staff are eligible to participate in this membership promotion by presenting a letter from their company stating their employment, dates of employment and affiliation to the University on company letterhead.
