Bristol-Myers Squibb Joins the MAST Center as Industry Partner
Bristol-Myers Squibb has joined the Membrane Science, Engineering and Technology Center as an industry partner. Bristol-Myers Squibb, headquartered in New York City, is a global BioPharma company firmly focused on its mission to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines to patients with serious diseases.
The other industry partners of the center include Arkansas Bait and Ornamental Fish Growers Association, Garver USA, Southwestern Energy and Tyson Foods.
Under the direction of professor Ranil Wickramasinghe, the Membrane Science, Engineering and Technology Center is a National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Multi-University Research Center in cooperation with the University of Colorado and the New Jersey Institute for Technology. The center's areas of focus include advancing membrane technology in separation processes through research and development, promoting education in membrane science and engineering and providing effective technology transfer between the center and its industrial partners.
Wickramasinghe is an Arkansas Research Alliance Scholar. The ARA Scholars program drives economic development by providing funding and assisting research university in identifying and recruiting esteemed researchers with strong credential and entrepreneurial records.
