Three Opportunities for Classroom Technology Training

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences will offer three opportunities for training on use of classroom technology found in buildings supported by Fulbright College. Each training will be followed by hands-on one-on-one instruction for those interested additional coaching.

All training sessions will be held in Giffels Auditorium, Old Main 201:

  • 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18
  • 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19
  • 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20

Sessions are open to all faculty members, teaching assistants and graduate assistants and will provide a brief overview of how to use the various types of available equipment. Each training will be followed by hands-on one-on-one instruction for those interested additional coaching.

Specific classrooms covered include:

  • Chemistry (CHEM)
  • Discovery Hall (DISC)
  • Fine Arts (FNAR)
  • Hillside Auditorium (HILL)
  • J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. Center for Academic Excellence (JBHT)
  • Kimpel Hall (KIMP)
  • Memorial Hall (MEMH)
  • Music (MUSC)
  • Old Main (MAIN)
  • Ozark Hall (OZAR)
  • School of Social Work (ASUP/SCSW)
  • Science Engineering (SCEN)

Those unable to attend any of the sessions are strongly encouraged to contact smartrm@uark.edu to request individual training before Monday, Aug. 24. All instructors are urged to visit the classrooms in which they will be teaching to become familiar with the available support equipment.
