Security Warning: Scammers Demand Tuition Payment Over the Phone
IT Services has received a report of a student-targeted phone scam demanding tuition payment over the phone. Students should be aware that the University of Arkansas does not request payment over the phone under any circumstances. Any contact with the university that requires payment will direct students to isis.uark.edu to make payments using a secure UARK username and password.
Students who receive a phone call requesting tuition payments over the phone should not provide any personal information. IT Services requests that potential phone scams be reported to security@uark.edu or by calling the IT Services Help Desk at 479-575-2905.
Legitimate email communication from the Treasurer's Office is sent from treainfo@uark.edu. To verify the legitimacy of phone calls or email claiming to be from the Treasurer's Office, call 479-575-5651.
