Move-In Week Continues With New Student Events
Use #UARKHome on Instagram before Monday and follow University Housing for a chance to win one of three iPad Minis.
It's been an exciting week at the university as almost 5,400 students moved on campus.
Hundreds of volunteers joined University Housing staff to make the official move-in days, Aug. 13 to Aug. 17, as smooth as possible. These volunteers belong to organizations on campus and in the surrounding community.
"The Arkansas Move-in Experience is always a great success thanks to the volunteers, University Housing staff and our collaboration with campus partners," University Housing executive director Flo Johnson said.

Saturday – Panhellenic Bid Day
Panhellenic Bid Day starts at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chi Omega Greek Theatre.
Bid Day is one of the most important days for the Greek Community. It is the culmination of the week-long recruitment process. On this day, women receive their "bids" for which Greek chapter extended them membership.

Sunday – New Student Welcome
Join the university at 4:45 p.m. Sunday on the Old Main Lawn for the official welcome to new students. Interim chancellor Dan Ferritor, Associated Student Government president Tanner Bone and the Student Alumni Association president will speak about the significance of attending the University and the importance of finding a place on campus.
Immediately afterward, there will be a "Burger Bash" picnic sponsored by Chartwells.
Following that, students are invited to the Arkansas Union to take part in an "After Party." This will be a great introduction to the many campus resources and support services available through the Division of Student Affairs.
