Brandon Elected Chair of the Arkansas State Review Board for Historic Preservation
In August, Jamie C. Brandon was elected as the new chair of the Arkansas State Review Board for Historic Preservation. The State Review Board is an advisory board to the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program charged with the review of National Register of Historic Places nominations and nomination appeals and to provide general advice and professional recommendations to the State Historic Preservation Officer.
Brandon is a research station archeologist with the Arkansas Archeological Survey and associate research professor with the Department of Anthropology. He has worked on historic preservation issues in Arkansas for 18 years and currently also serves as the president of Preserve Arkansas, a statewide non-profit that supports historic preservation.
