University of Arkansas Global Campus to Offer Tips on Hiring Compliance

ROGERS, Ark. – As part of the Lunchtime Workplace “Tips” Series, the University of Arkansas Global Campus will offer a one-hour training titled “6 Tips to Ensure Safe Hiring Compliance” on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The session is open to the public, and participants can register online.

This training will be led by Sheila Moss, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, and will cover the proper usage of criminal record information. Regulations and court cases regarding background checks, Social Security number traces, database searches and county searches will also be covered.

The session has been approved for one hour of general credit toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute. The University of Arkansas Global Campus is recognized by the Society of Human Resource Management to offer one credit for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP.

Each one-hour session of the Lunchtime Workplace “Tips” Series is held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Global Campus facility in Rogers, located at 3300 Market St., and also simulcast online. The cost for each session is $29. Register online. Additional topics in this series include social media, managing project risk, customer service, training, emotional and relational awareness at work, and pivot tables.
