First National Campus Sexual Assault Awareness Month

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The STAR Central office and RESPECT peer education group will be raising awareness about the first National Campus Sexual Assault Awareness month through the month of September.
STAR (Support, Training, Advocacy, & Resources) Central office supports victims of sexual violence for the University of Arkansas community. RESPECT, (Rape Education Services by Peers Encouraging Conscious Thought) is a program of STAR Central, which is a group of men and women who provide educational presentations and interactive events on sexual assault issues through peer health education. RESPECT are students helping other students to understand the issues of sexual assault, relationship violence and its risk reduction and prevention.
For part of the September awareness month, a flyer campaign was developed for the University of Arkansas community to get involved with ending sexual violence. Show your support by going to respect.uark.edu and printing off the flyer to hang on your door or share it on social media. Let others know "I've got your back, Razorback. I support an end to sexual violence!"
