Science Café to Present 'Our Carbon Footprints' on Sept. 29

Carbon footprints are the total amount of greenhouse gases produced to directly and indirectly support human activities, usually expressed in equivalent tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).
Two University of Arkansas professors will discuss "Our Carbon Footprints" at the next U of A Science Café: Food For Thought from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Powerhouse restaurant in Fayetteville.
Panel members will be Michael Douglas, who holds the 21st Century Chair in Global Change Biology in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, and Benjamin Runkle, an assistant professor of biological and agricultural engineering in the College of Engineering.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
