Leaf A Legacy Workshop Sets Housing's Sustainability Goals
Help make University Housing as green as possible. Attend the Leaf a Legacy workshop Sunday.
University Housing's new student leaders are invited to join a task force dedicated to making the residence halls more sustainable.
The Leaf A Legacy workshop will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Poultry Science Auditorium.
Attendees will work with existing student sustainability leaders on campus.
Together, they will brainstorm how to tackle sustainability issues facing University Housing. Another topic will be how to work collaboratively with similar organizations on campus and within the community.
A panel of University Housing and community leaders is planned from 2-3 p.m. Panelists will be available for discussion afterward.
"By the end of the afternoon, all participants will leave with a renewed commitment to sustainable efforts as well as wonderful networking experience," event organizer Molly McKinstry said.
McKinstry is the student sustainability coordinator in University Housing.
"Our goal is to come up with clear directions for sustainability efforts for this year on campus," she said.
