Joseph D'Uva to Present Visiting Artist Lecture

The Department of Art continues its visiting artist lecture series with printmaker Joseph D'Uva at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in Hillside Auditorium Room 206.

Joseph D'Uva Jr. was born in Ossining, New York, in 1974 and received his bachelor's degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. From there he attended the Tamarind Institute, where he completed the Professional Printer Training Program in 1997. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking from the University of Iowa in 2000. D'Uva's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at institutions such as the Royal Academy of Art, London; Dedalo Center for Contemporary Art, Italy; Martin Museum of Art, Baylor University; Print Space, Wichita State University; and more.

His work can also be found in the collections at institutions such as the University of Minnesota, Notre Dame University, University of Iowa, University of Colorado, and others. He is currently an associate professor of art in printmaking at Youngstown State University.

This event is free and open to the public.
