The 2015 Homecoming Court was announced at last week's Chancellor's Ball

Five University of Arkansas women and five escorts have been selected as the 2015 Homecoming Court by the campuswide selection committee. Homecoming Court represents school spirit and pride for the University of Arkansas and is one of the oldest and most storied traditions.

The five women on the Homecoming Court will vie for the title of Homecoming Queen. Elections for Homecoming Queen will be conducted from 9 a.m. CDT Wednesday, Oct. 21, through 4 p.m. CDT Friday, Oct. 23, on vote.uark.edu. The queen will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally on Oct. 30 at the Greek Theater.

The 2015 Homecoming Court, along with their nominating organizations and escorts are:

  • Amy James, American Chemical Society, escorted by John Cale, Phi Gamma Delta
  • Haley Birch, Student Ambassadors, escorted by Cameron Boyland, Omega Psi Phi
  • Hannah Birch, Kappa Kappa Gamma, escorted by Anthony Eller, Volunteer Action Center
  • Morgan Farmer, Associated Student Government, escorted by Raymond Todd, Zeta Tau Alpha
  • Rachel Reece, Pi Beta Phi, escorted by Tanner Bone, Associated Student Government

Student leaders from Associated Student Government and Student Alumni Board, as well as staff from across the Division of Student Affairs, selected the Homecoming Court from the RSO nominees by a dual-round interview process. The committee reviewed applications along with resumes and responses to essay questions, narrowing the list to 20 women. The top 20 women interviewed with the committee, who then selected ten finalists. These women then completed a longer, more comprehensive interview with the committee, who voted on the five candidates to submit to the student body as the 2015 Homecoming Court.

The campus wide Homecoming Court Selection Committee announced the 2015 Homecoming Court, Friday, Oct. 9, at the Chancellor's Ball. All University of Arkansas students nominated by a registered student organization were eligible for Homecoming Court.

Homecoming Court members will participate in the Homecoming parade, Homecoming pre-game and the full court will be presented during the Arkansas vs. University of Texas at Martin football game halftime show on Saturday, Oct. 31.
