ROGERS, Ark. – Teamwork experts will share their insights at the NOARK SuperCon 2015 conference in November. Registration is now open for this one-day conference for supervisors and managers, which will focus on workplace issues involving the management of people in today’s rapidly evolving and global workplaces.

The Northwest Arkansas Human Resources Association is partnering with the University of Arkansas Global Campus to present NOARK SuperCon 2015. The conference is set for 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Jones Center, 922 E. Emma Ave., in Springdale.

Participants can register online. The cost is $129 per person, $99 for each member of a group of two or more, or $49 for students.

Denise Thomas, director of Africa Trade Public Relations and External Relations for the Arkansas World Trade Center, will deliver the lunchtime keynote, “Building Dynamic Global Teams.”

Speakers will include:

  • Max Farrell, a nationally known speaker and an Arkansas native who co-founded WorkHound, a startup employee engagement platform focused on the trucking industry.
  • David Varner, chief strategy and development officer for Superior Linen Service and a retired member of the Navy’s elite flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels.
  • Tom Ginn, a local business developer who is a former offensive lineman for the Detroit Lions and the Arkansas Razorbacks and has more than 20 years of experience in professional management.
  • Willie Johnson, owner and chief communicator of Willie Johnson Communications, a certified human development consultant and training delivery specialist.
  • Ron Dilbert, lead trainer and executive coach for Dilbert Consulting Group.
  • Tony Hawk, chief executive officer and executive coach for Resources for Leading.
  • Pam Blecher, who has worked more than 20 years in training and development for many Oklahoma and Arkansas area companies.
  • Sheila Moss, principal, Info Solutions Team.
  • William “Ricky” Teague, principal for TransAmericas Human Resources LLC.
  • Michael Brown, founder of the Insight Leadership Group.

The conference will provide timely, relevant information for organizational supervisors and managers, as well as the opportunity to network with peers and leaders. Teamwork is the main theme of the conference, but building leadership skills, learning innovative approaches to managing people and understanding global challenges will also be covered.

“This year’s conference will build on the success of last year’s conference by offering managers and supervisors the opportunity to learn from some of the best managers, human resource professionals and educators our area has to offer,” said Judith Tavano, conference chair and director of professional development programs at the Global Campus. “Where else might you have opportunity to experience lessons learned in teamwork from a former professional football player, a retired Navy Blue Angel, local entrepreneurs, successful business professionals, respected educators, and a global trade ambassador?”
