Army Research Physiologist to Give Webinar on Dehydration and Exercise Performance

Robert W. Kenefick, a research physiologist for the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, will present "Physiology of Dehydration and Exercise Science – When Does it Matter?" in a webinar and in person at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4.
The seminar by Kenefick, who is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, is part of the Hydration Lecture Series sponsored by the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas. It is free and open to the public. Online registration is required to view the webinar. Registration is followed by a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
Kenefick will speak in Room 103 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building. To attend in person, RSVP by email to suh@email.uark.edu.
Kenefick is a principal investigator in the Thermal and Mountain Medicine Division of the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters and reviews on fluid homeostasis and the physiological responses to environmental stress. He is an editorial board member of Medicine and Science in Sport and Exercise and Wilderness & Environmental Medicine. Kenefick served as the president of the New England Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine and received its Honor Award in 2012. He also serves on various committees for the American College of Sports Medicine.
