Graduate Students to Present Sexual Health Research Today
Mary Hunt and Sasha Canan, University of Arkansas doctoral students in community health promotion, will present their research from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in Room 311 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building.
Their presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department. Refreshments will be served.
Hunt will present "Romantic Feelings and Gender: Factors that Influence College Students' Decision to Engage in Specific Sexual Behaviors during a Hookup." Canan will present "Favorability and Timing Preferences of School-Based Sexual Health Education Topics in the Southern U.S."
Hunt and Canan conduct research in the Sexual Health Research Laboratory directed by Kristen Jozkowski and Heather Blunt, both assistant professors of community health promotion.
