Freshmen and Seniors Invited to Take Survey of Student Engagement

The University of Arkansas always seeks to improve the student experience on campus, and because student feedback is crucial to making this happen, starting today students can participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).

The survey is designed to gather information from freshmen and seniors about their college experiences, both in and out of the classroom. The results of the survey will allow the university to evaluate and compare the experiences of University of Arkansas students with students throughout the country.

Freshman and senior students will receive an email from nssesurvey.org with information and a link to take the survey online. For the first time ever the NSSE can be taken on a mobile device.

Because the impact of the survey is so great, it is important that each student voice be heard. If enough students participate, the results can effect changes at the university that will improve the quality of education for Arkansas students in addition to helping the campus further demonstrate the value of an education at the University of Arkansas.

"The survey is easy to do, so let your voice be heard," said Melissa Harwood-Rom dean of students. "This is a rewarding opportunity for you as students to make a difference in the future of your university. And you can take it right on your smartphone or tablet."

In appreciation for participating, students who complete the survey by May 1 will be automatically entered in a random drawing to win one of two Apple watches ($399 value each), five Fitbit HR Charges ($149 value each), 15 Visa gift cards ($100 value each) or one of 15 Student Parking Passes for the 2016-17 academic year ($94 value each).
