PSGA to Host Presentation by Tyson Foods Vice President of Sustainable Food Production

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Students in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences are invited to attend a program called “The Crooked Path” by Christine Daugherty, vice president of Sustainable Food Production at Tyson Foods Inc.
The program will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 10 in the second floor auditorium of the John W. Tyson Poultry Science Building. There will be a Meet & Greet with refreshments from 5-5:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Daugherty received a doctorate in life sciences from Louisiana State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas. Daugherty leads Tyson Foods’ Sustainable Food Production efforts, including farm animal well-being, responsible sourcing and natural resource conservation programs. Her team manages the company’s trademarked FarmCheck program. She is the chief liaison with Tyson’s external Animal Well-Being Advisory Panel, as well as all related university research projects. She leads the company’s sustainability programs across multiple platforms, ensuring sound business and reporting practices from farm to fork.
