Russian Movie: Wings

The Russian film Wings (Kryl'ia, 1966; Dir. Larisa Shepit'ko) will be shown at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Hotz Hall Theater Room.

In the movie, a former Soviet female fighter, played by Maya Bulgakova, returns to the civilian life and works as a schoolteacher. Her past haunts her and she finds no peace in the present. This movie was made by one of the best Russian female directors, Larisa Shepitko.

All movies are in Russian with English subtitles!
