Second Annual Faculty Appreciation Week

The Office for Faculty Development and Enhancement is excited to announce that the University of Arkansas' second annual Faculty Appreciation Week will take place from April 4-8. According to Ro Di Brezzo, vice provost for faculty development and enhancement, "The purpose of Faculty Appreciation Week is simply to acknowledge the sustained and dedicated efforts of our university's greatest resource, the faculty."

This week of celebration will include various festivities, as well as discounts and promotions offered by on-campus entities such as the bookstore. A complete list of these events and deals will be available later this month. The following are some highlights during Faculty Appreciation Week (all faculty are welcome):

  • "Teaching Lessons Learned Along the Way:  An Emeritus Faculty Panel Discussion"
    Monday, April 4, 3-4 p.m., Giffels Auditorium
  • "The First 100 Days and Beyond: An Update on Campus Planning & Goal Setting," Chancellor Joseph E. Steinmetz
    Wednesday, April 6, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Giffels Auditorium
  • Faculty Appreciation Week reception
    Thursday, April 7, 5-6:30 p.m., Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House
