Professor of Mathematical Sciences, John Ryan

John Ryan, professor of mathematics, was to give an invited talk at the conference Past and Future Directions in Hypercomplex and Harmonic Analysis – Celebrating Frank Sommen's 60th Birthday. The conference will take place March 29-April 2 at the University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal.

The conference, which brings together experts in harmonic, complex and Clifford analysis, will be devoted to the research interests of Frank Sommen, professor emeritus of Ghent University, Belgium. Other speakers come from Europe, China and the United States. Ryan will give a talk on "Arbitrary Order Fermionic and Bosonic Operators: Conformally Invariant Higher Spin Operators." This is joint work with his doctoral students Chao Ding and Raymond Walter.
