Capture New Life with the #SpringAtArkansas Photo Contest

Spring has sprung at the University of Arkansas! Capture the blooming beauty of campus and submit photos to the Division of Student Affairs' #SpringAtArkansas Photo Contest.

The contest will run from March 29 to April 13. All photo entries can be posted on Instagram or Twitter with the tag #SpringAtArkansas. Photos must have the hashtag to qualify. The original photo file must also be saved for future promotional material for the division.

The winner will receive a $50 gift card to the University of Arkansas bookstore, which can be used at any location operated by the bookstore.

"This is such a breathtaking campus and its absolutely beautiful during the spring," said Breanna Tidwell, social media graduate assistant for the division. "This is a great way for students to capture, admire and appreciate the beauty of the university landscape."

Students can submit up to three photos for the contest.

"In the fall, we run our #AutumnAtArkansas Photo Contest," Tidwell said, "but with our #SpringAtArkansas Photo Contest, we really want to see the University coming back to life. Fall is about a graceful move into the winter months, but spring is all about new and fresh life."

All photo rights of submitted images remain with the owner, but the university does have all rights of use for the photos submitted.

Tidwell said the #SpringAtArkansas contest is a way for students to get creative and share their photos of campus.

"Newly bloomed flowers and green trees are always great, but we also want to see students think outside of the box," Tidwell said. "We're hoping students find a way to not only show the beauty of Arkansas, but to also show off their Razorback pride."

All photo submissions will be judged by university staff members. For more information, contact Breanna Tidwell at bgtidwel@uark.edu.
