The Department of Art and Collective Design are proud to present Design in the Middle: Making our Mark, an exhibition commenting on the changing role of the Midwest in the world of graphic design. The exhibition features the work of both program alumni and current design students as a celebration of the proposed B.F.A. in Graphic Design, which if approved will commence in fall 2016. Each of the designers considers themes of interaction between designer and client, the cultural context of design settings, and geocultural perceptions in their works.

The exhibition opens March 19 and runs until April 15 at the sUgAR Student Gallery on the Fayetteville Square. A reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. April 8 at the gallery.

Design in the Middle: Making our Mark presents the work of alumni Karina Aguilar '10, Tessa Behrendt '13 and Morgan Bibbs '13; Celi Burke '13, and Macy Burr '14;  Caroline Chandler '09, Aaron Giles '03 and Bryan Gott '96; Katie Harrison '12 and Anna Jacobs '12; Aricka Lewis '15, Blake Reynolds '15 and Ana Laura Salinas '10; Terry Shoffner '71; and Ryan Slone '01 and Jason Wilkins '10.
