Second Annual Earth Day M.F.A. Poetry Reading, noon on Friday, April 22, in the NE Union Quad

The University Libraries and the undergraduate creative writing RSO, Fabula Bound, are pleased to present the second annual Earth Day M.F.A. Poetry Reading, beginning at noon on Friday, April 22, in the Northeast Union Quad.

The reading, coordinated by Jane Blunschi, MFA candidate in fiction, and Michelle Gibeault, English and Communication Librarian, will feature poems read by Emily Cruz, Bailey Hutchinson, Zach Harrod, LewEllyn Hallett, Alice Stinetorf, and Cara Dees, among others.

Find out why Poets & Writers magazine consistently ranks the U of A Program in Creative Writing and Translation in the top 40 M.F.A. programs among hundreds nationwide. In 2007, The Atlantic Monthly named it one of the top five most innovative creative writing programs in the nation.

The University Libraries is excited to continue this new tradition, highlighting local, creative work and celebrating the art of poetry.  The event is free and open to the public.
